Vases for Singapore Homes
What material are the vases made of?
Our collection of vases is crafted from a variety of materials, including stoneware, terracotta, glass, and metal. Each material offers a unique look and feel, allowing you to choose the perfect vase to complement your style and space.
How should I clean and maintain my vase?
To clean and maintain your vase, we recommend the following care instructions based on the material:
• Stoneware: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust or dirt. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Terracotta: Gently wipe with a soft cloth. Do not clean in the dishwasher or use aggressive detergents or abrasive agents, as they may damage the surface. Terracotta is naturally porous, so avoid soaking it in water for extended periods.
• Glass: Clean with a soft, lint-free cloth or a microfiber cloth. For tougher spots, use a glass cleaner. Avoid using abrasive pads to prevent scratches.
• Metal: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the surface and dry it immediately. For tarnished metal, use a mild metal polish to restore its shine, following the product instructions. Avoid abrasive pads that could scratch the surface.
Can the vases be used outdoors or is it intended for indoor use only?
Our vases are primarily designed for indoor use, but some materials like stoneware and metal can withstand outdoor conditions if kept in a sheltered area. However, for long-lasting durability, we recommend keeping the vase indoors, away from harsh weather conditions.
Are the vases waterproof?
The waterproof capabilities of our vases depend on the material of choice. Vases made from glass, metal, and stoneware are generally water-resistant and suitable for holding water. However, terracotta vases are recommended for decorative use only. As terracotta is a highly permeable material, watertightness cannot be assured.
For glass, metal, and stoneware vases, we recommend using a liner to protect the surface and prevent any potential leakage.
How do I prevent water stains or marks on my vase?
To prevent water stains or marks on your vase, it’s best to use a liner or insert when placing fresh flowers with water inside. This helps create a barrier between the water and the vase, reducing the risk of staining.
For vases made of materials like terracotta, which are more porous, avoid prolonged contact with water and always wipe up any spills immediately.
Regularly clean your vase by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth to remove any moisture or residue. Additionally, avoid placing vases in areas with high humidity to maintain their appearance.
